Dave is a federally licensed falconer in the State of Pennsylvania. He is passionate about the sport and believes nothing gives you a closer bond to nature than hunting with a bird that has been trapped out of the wild and then trained to hunt with you as a partner.
Falconry is one of the oldest sports in the world, first practiced by the Egyptians. Having live birds of prey at his disposal also gives Dave great reference when he is called upon to mount raptors for schools, museums or nature centers.
Dave is proud of his accomplishments and happy to share them with his son and others interested in the sport. Usually anyone who comes to the studio is introduced to Dave's raptors.
